Concert / Electronic Meakusma x Rotondes

Rotondes and Meakusma partner up again to make the opening night a night to remember. After being shown at Eupen’s IKOB, Nika Schmitt’s installation Sweet Zenith will be exhibited in a smaller form inside the cube. Also on display: SAAB SCULPTURE VI: PLACES UNSEEN by Amber Meulenijzer. Amber’s series of sculptures place the Saab 900 car in different contexts to question, transform and give the ultimate pimping to public/​private spaces.

The evening will start with an A/V performance by SKY H1 & Mika Oki. After the wild success of her early works mixing drum and bass, grime, dubstep, and techno, the Belgian producer SKY H1 released Azure, an imaginative and quietly ambitious record. Here she teams up with French visual artist and DJ Mika Oki. With her background in sculpture and electro-acoustic music, Oki explores the notion of intangible spaces and emotional landscapes through AV installations, music and mixes.

The line-up also includes performances by Perila, a St. Petersburg-born, Berlin-based sound and visual artist, DJ and performer whose sets are thick narratives drifting through rich sound palettes; and by SAGAT whose sonic world is forever shifting, as alive as the city that inspires his music, i.e. Brussels. Then Luxembourg native GURL will grace us with one of her punchy, fast-paced sets interspersed with techno and electro gems.
