From 7PM on, three bands will make you smile, jump, sing and dance like never before. Enjoy the great gypsy jazz music blend with JJ Gitans at the beginning of the evening. Immerse yourself into positive vibes with Road to Zion, Luxembourg’s first reggae band composed of endlessly positive and kind musicians. Finally, let all your dance moves out and get crazy with the amazing Flying Orkestar who promise to bewitch you with their Balkan style music and original performance. Dance the night away with butt-shaking mixes provided by DJ Gonzo all the way until 3AM.

    Road to Zion

    Flying Orkestar

All longtime friends, the musicians of the Flying Orkestar were brought together in 2007 by Boran around the music of the Balkans. Every listener will be bewitched by the vocal melisma of Boran and by the solos of La Machine and Will Schmitt. Clarinet, saxophone and Balkan trumpet make the crowds vibrate, the accordion makes them dance, the drums and the guitars’ rock will awaken the beast inside you. Boran has surrounded himself with the greatest virtuoso boukraves to feed his vision of music: El Meteor, Choko or The Kid are just a few of the talented actors of this unique band. The group has now become a big family and not only the pride of its members but also that of their mothers, following the boukrave tradition.

    Road to Zion

Road to Zion, the first Reggae band in Luxembourg, was born in 2015, in Rumelange, when Aníbal Gomes dos Santos decided to start this journey and make his child's dream come true: founding a reggae band, the music he’s been listening to his whole life. The name of the band recalls the feelings of union, peace, love, showing kindness in the path towards Zion.

Today it is composed of four elements and the group mixes different cultures in a unique reggae that carries the flavors of Cape Verde, Portugal, Luxembourg and of course, Jamaica. The members were not selected nor looked for but, as Anibal says, they were chosen by Jah.

    JJ Gitans

JJ Gitans, a Luxembourgish-Brazilian-Spanish quartet with Jorge and Jean-Marc as its founders, was born in spring 2017. The love for music and its diverse styles has brought Jorge and Jean-Marc together in the unique exploration of classical and contemporary compositions and songs. Irene and Gilbert on clarinet and bass joined the band in 2018, adding to the unique blend of music styles with their own musical creativity. Musicians of JJ Gitans are multinstrumentalists with many years of musical experience by playing in Luxembourgish and Brazilian bands (including Schëppe Siwen and Trompas de Falopio.) Their first appearance together was in RIFF's World Village, in June 2017, at Rotondes, attended by a several hundred people. JJ Gitans have since performed in different events in Luxembourg and have already received recognition in national newspapers.
