EN Foxwarren is a group of siblings and childhood friends formed more than a decade ago. Their backstory reads like a page torn from the manual of rock’n’roll authenticity.

Growing up in scattered small towns across the Canadian prairies, Andy Shauf (guitars/keys/vocals), Dallas Bryson (guitar/vocals), and brothers Darryl Kissick (bass) and Avery Kissick (drums & percussion) eventually found themselves in Regina, Saskatchewan.

They initially bonded over Pedro the Lion and drew influence from The Band and Paul Simon. A decade or so into their project, Foxwarren finally released a proper album last year.

It’s a record that hinges on sincerity. Subtle and thoughtful, it draws parallels to frontman Andy Shauf’s solo work while leaning on collaboration and looseness rather than Shauf’s meticulous arrangements. It's propped up by warm driving rhythms, a familiar voice, soft electronics and coarse guitars. Foxwarren’s performance at the Congés Annulés is sure to feel like an enjoyable meeting with long-time friends.
